TRAVEL TIPS

Train Travel

From Ben Gurion International Airport, the train is a money and time saver for NIS 15 and takes about 20 minutes. There are taxis waiting outside each train station to get you to your final destination.

The train is an excellent way to travel between Tel Aviv and cities and towns to the north, such as Netanya, Hadera, Haifa, and Nahariya. To Jerusalem, buses are a better option until the high-speed line is completed. Northbound trains depart from the Central Railway Station (Savidor/Mercaz) and the Azrieli Station. Trains run roughly every hour on weekdays from between 5 am and 6 am to between 10 pm and 11 pm depending on the destination; there are fewer trains on Friday and Jewish holiday eves and no service on Saturday or on holidays. There’s also a line to Beersheva. The information office is open Sunday to Thursday 6 am to 11 pm and Friday 6 to 3.
